What is this website advocating?   Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM).

What is CAM?  CAM are groups of  medical and health care systems, practices, and products that are not
presently considered to be part of conventional medicine.
NCCAM.GOV/whatiscam/. Conventional medicine is
medicine as practiced by holders of M.D. (medical doctor) or D.O. (doctor of osteopathy) degrees.
Wiki Conventional Medicine

There are many CAM therapies, which one is this site advocating?  Biologically Based Practices  or
Orthomolecular Medicine.  This practice provides the body essential it needs so that it may repair or heal itself.
A preventive practice,  to preclude degenerative diseases and for use as a treatment  therapy to complement
conventional medicine. It includes, but is not limited to: Prebiotic and Probiotic (live bacteria in foods such as
yogurt or in dietary supplements); digestive enzymes;  botanicals or phytonutrients or herbs; animal-derived
extracts; vitamins; minerals; essential fatty acids (EFA) (Omega 3 and 6  oils); amino acids; whole diets and
functional foods.

Does Conventional medicine include preventive healthcare measures? NO.

Is Conventional Medicine based upon proven Scientific Research? NO. It is based upon the
standard trial and error method.
Who's the guinea pig? YOU. Be wary of the term based upon "scientific
proofs." To prove this point, just 4 years ago scientists triumphantly announced the completion of the
Human Genome Project--- a reading of the entire human genome consisting of 3 billion letters of DNA that are
the instruction manual for making a person. The problem is that they
can't make sense out of the bewildering A's,
C's, G's and T's where each gene is made up of a combination of these four-letter codes. Very few combinations,
if any, are understood today. New findings are published weekly in scientific journals about possible decodings of
these combinations relative to cancer, diabetes, blindness and AIDS. Now ask yourself if they don't understand it
now, what the hell have they been treating you with for the last 100 years? Bottom-
line they have no more idea than you about the various drugs effects upon your DNA or genetics and health until
something goes wrong, oops.
Google Human Genome Project

Does the Human Genome Project add credence to biological based practices, natural remedies
provided by the earth or synthetic incomplete laboratory created drugs used in conventional
medicine to treat symptoms?
The Human Genome Project is a biological based practice, which seeks to cure
rather than treat symptoms.

What is the authoritative support used by this website for CAM?  The  primary authority is the
U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services     and it's divisions of  U.S. Food and Drug Administration;
National Institutes of Health (NIH),  the  primary  Federal  agency  for conducting and  supporting  medical
research through 27 institutes and centers. It includes
Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS)  and
National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine  (NCCAM). The NCCAM was created in 1998 as the
Federal Government's lead agency for scientific research on CAM to explore complementary and alternative
healing practices based on scientific study, train CAM  researchers,  and  disseminate  authoritative  information
to  the  public  and  professionals.
Secondary authorities are those that disagree with the federal
government
.  Of note, is that NCCAM has established as one of the two centers of excellence for micronutrient
supplementation for optimal health,  the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University.

What percentage of the US population use preventive Biologically Based Practices or Therapies? .
19%
; Google CAM Use Nationwide Survey

What is the US population group most likely to use CAM? CAM use was greater among  women; people with
higher education; those who had been hospitalized within the past year; and former smokers
.
NCCAM.gov/news

What is the US population group most unlikely to use CAM? In a 1996 study before NCCAM was created,
African Americans were at 2% and 6% among Asian Americans.
GovMeetingAbstracts

Is there a nexus or connection between the high ratio of degenerative diseases in the African
American population due to such a low CAM usage percentage?
Ahhhh....the jury is still out,
studying this mystery.
Er?  Government Studies CAM Health Disparity

Is CAM therapies effective based on governmental or independent studies? Yes.
Google Effectiveness of CAM Therapies. Also see, e.g. Dr. Linus Paulings patented treatment for
removal of plaque clogged arteries on this site.
Heart Disease

Why would the Government study CAM if it were not effective?   Public Demand and Pressure Review

What is the NCCAM annual budget and can they effectively study CAM? The NCCAM FY 2007 budget
includes $120,554,000, a decrease of $911,000 over the comparable FY 2006 appropriation of
$121,465,000, hmmmm.
NCCAM Annual Budget .  Answer No.

Is there an agenda here, why aren’t CAM therapies included in the conventional medicine practice?
